Volunteer Coordinator

Stacy Kangar

Hi, I’m Stacy Kangar.  My husband Ben and I have six boys. The oldest four have graduated from SCOPE and the youngest two are still attending classes.  Our boys have enjoyed and benefited from being a part of SCOPE in the past, so much that 2 of them married classmates from SCOPE!  I am excited to be a part of SCOPE’S future as well as we move forward into the new things that God has in store for us all. My family has been involved in SCOPE for 14 years and homeschooling for 23. My husband and I have served with SCOPE in many various roles over the years.   I am looking forward to this new role as board member and volunteer coordinator.

My husband and I currently have a nonprofit that we run in Malawi, Africa. We are in the process of building a training center there for the Malawian youth.  Our organization focuses on practical job trainings and life skills for young adults and ongoing trainings and workshops for Church leaders.

On the homefront I enjoy cooking for my family (not so much the cleaning up afterwards!).  I also have a lot of fun gardening in the summer and creating teas from my flowers and herbs. This summer my new goal is to can a bunch of easy meals for those nights we get home late from SCOPE!
