Fundraising Coordinator
My name is Adam Flink. My wife, Lenora, and I have four children: Emily (9), Ben (6), Josh (5), and Matthew (3). Our oldest three have been enjoying SCOPE classes for two years and we look forward to having all four enrolled someday soon as this organization has been a blessing to our family. Our decision to homeschool came naturally as I was homeschooled and we are surrounded by homeschooling in our extended family and our church. Homeschooling can be a challenge, which is why we have come to appreciate the community and the expanded educational opportunities that SCOPE offers and we are thankful to have landed here.
I am an electrical engineer and have worked in the electric power industry since graduating from the University of Minnesota in 2006. I love to share my passion for science and engineering and look forward to helping oversee and perhaps participate in SCOPE’s future classes in these areas. I also studied music and have performed classical, jazz, and folk music on various instruments over the years. It would be great to see more music-related offerings at SCOPE and I hope to pursue this as one of SCOPE’s new leaders.
Both Lenora and I grew up in the Twin Cities and have lived here all our lives. We moved from Roseville to Afton in 2020 and have been enjoying God’s wonderful creation on ten acres. Our hobbies have included woodworking and home renovation and construction projects but have more recently expanded to include forestry, sawmilling, barn-building, and vehicle/equipment maintenance.
I am excited for the opportunity to work with some very energetic and talented people on the 2025/26 SCOPE board, building on an excellent foundation and moving forward to serve our members in even more ways.
