PreK + Kindergarten Class Offerings
PREK (ages 3-5) - Rylie Lieder
Description:
We are so excited to begin a new year together with your child! This year brings a fresh start, and we are thrilled to welcome new teachers into our classroom. With new energy and ideas, we look forward to creating a fun, nurturing, and engaging environment where your child can learn and grow alongside their peers.
At this age, learning is most meaningful through play. In our class, we will focus on creativity, exploration, and making learning enjoyable each day. We will be using Playing Preschool as a foundation for our curriculum. Throughout the year, we will explore letters of the alphabet, numbers up to 20, shapes, colors, and more all through interactive, play-based learning.
Our days will include a variety of hands-on activities such as reading books, asking and answering questions, singing songs, journaling, crafts, and building friendships. We are especially excited to incorporate more sensory play this year, giving children opportunities to explore and learn using their senses through activities like sensory bins, textures, and hands-on discovery.
As part of our classroom, we will incorporate Christ-centered learning through simple Bible stories, songs, and everyday moments encouraging kindness, friendship, and an understanding of God’s love in ways that are engaging and meaningful for young children.
This year, we will continue using individual notebooks to document and support your child’s learning. A portion of your $35 supply fee will go toward a personal preschool notebook for each child, which will stay in the classroom. Each week, children will complete a simple journal prompt or activity connected to what we are learning. At the end of the year, they will take their notebook home as a keepsake so you can see their growth, and they will feel proud of all they’ve accomplished.
In addition, I will send home optional worksheets each week that relate to our current topics, letters, or numbers. While completing them is not required, they can be a helpful way to reinforce learning at home if you choose to use them. There is no need to return these to class.
We are so excited for this new year of learning, connection, and community together!
KINDERGARTEN AM & PM - Jenn Jacobsen
Description:
Our SCOPE Kindergarten class is designed to be a joyful, engaging, and encouraging introduction to early learning in a Christ-centered environment. Throughout the year, we will explore a variety of unit studies that will vary, using hands-on activities and supplemental resources to build a strong foundation in both literacy and numeracy.
Students will learn capital and lowercase letters, letter sounds, early reading skills, numbers, and handwriting in a way that is interactive and developmentally appropriate. Each class day will also include Bible time, where we will learn about God’s truth and love, as well as art, simple science activities, and creative play that reinforce what we are learning.
This class is intentionally designed to meet children where they are. Whether your child is just beginning to recognize letters or already starting to read, they will be supported, encouraged, and given opportunities to grow at their own pace.
Our goal is to create a space where children feel confident, excited to learn, and deeply valued—and where families feel welcomed and supported no matter where they are in their homeschooling journey.
We can’t wait to learn and grow together this year!
