VALUE DEBATE (6-12th) -  Brendon Thompson & Jerusha Betzold

Our Value Debate class is designed to build confident, thoughtful communicators through a two-semester journey. 

In the first semester, students focus on speech - learning how to clearly express ideas, engage an audience, and develop strong public speaking skills. 

In the second semester, the focus shifts to value debate- where students learn to think critically, defend their beliefs, and respectfully engage with opposing viewpoints. 

Both teachers share a deep love for Jesus, and that foundation shapes the classroom environment - encouraging truth, grace, and integrity in every discussion. By the end of the course, students leave equipped with exceptional public speaking and debate abilities that will serve them for a lifetime.
