Class Description

How do you actually hear God’s voice?

For many students, the Bible can feel confusing, random, or disconnected. This class is designed to change that.

In Biblical Literacy, students will learn how to understand Scripture in its proper context and see how each book fits into the larger story of the Bible—from Genesis to Revelation. Instead of reading isolated verses, we’ll explore the big picture (the “meta-narrative”) of God’s plan and how it unfolds across history.

Students will:

    •    Learn how to read and understand different books of the Bible in context

    •    Discover how the entire Bible tells one unified story about God and His people

    •    Practice hearing God’s voice through Scripture in a grounded, biblical way

    •    Develop critical thinking skills by evaluating real-life examples of teaching and identifying both accurate interpretations and common              misuses of Scripture

    •    Apply what they learn to their own lives in meaningful and practical ways

This class will combine teaching, discussion, hands-on activities, and interactive exercises to make learning both engaging and enjoyable!
